Helpful Tips For Cooking
- Avoid overmixing the meat mixture to maintain a tender texture.
- Brown the meatballs gently before adding sauce to develop extra flavor.
Step 1
Put the chicken into a food processor. Add salt, chili powder, coriander powder, pepper, cumin powder, roasted chickpea powder, poppy seed paste, ginger-garlic paste, and fresh coriander leaves. Blend everything until you get a smooth mixture.
Step 2
Scoop out equal portions of the mixture and roll them into meatballs. Heat some oil in a pan, toss in whole spices, and let them sizzle for about a minute. Then carefully add the meatballs and cook them until they turn golden brown on all sides.
Step 3
While the meatballs are cooking, prepare the sauce. In another pan, heat a bit of oil and sauté chopped onions, ginger, and garlic for 2-3 minutes until they’re soft and translucent. Transfer this to a bowl.
Step 4
To the onion mixture, add green chilies, tomato slices, yogurt, salt, chili powder, turmeric, coriander powder, and cumin powder. Blend everything together until smooth.
Step 5
Once the meatballs are nicely browned, pour the sauce into the pan with them. Cook everything together on medium heat until the oil starts to separate from the sauce.
Step 6
Finally, stir in some fresh coriander leaves and a pinch of garam masala. Give it a good mix and your tasty chicken meatballs in gravy are ready to enjoy!
