MoMo's Turkey Burgers on the Grill

Ingredients

• 1 pound ground turkey
• 1 large egg
• 2 tablespoons Italian-seasoned bread crumbs
• 1 large clove garlic, minced
• 1 teaspoon onion powder
• 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
• ½ teaspoon ground cumin
• ½ teaspoon chili powder
• ½ teaspoon kosher salt
• ¼ teaspoon ground white pepper
• 1 pinch cayenne pepper
• 4 hamburger buns, split

Step 1

In a big bowl, mix together the turkey, egg, bread crumbs, garlic, onion powder, poultry seasoning, cumin, chili powder, salt, white pepper, and cayenne until everything is well combined. Shape the mixture into four patties and pop them in the fridge for about 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.

Step 2

Meanwhile, get your grill heating up to medium-high and give the grates a light brush of oil so the burgers don’t stick. Once the grill is hot, place the patties on and close the lid. Let them cook undisturbed for about 6 to 8 minutes.

Step 3

Flip the burgers over and keep grilling until they’re nicely browned and cooked through, which should take another 7 to 9 minutes. If you have a meat thermometer, the center should read 165°F (74°C) to make sure they’re safe to eat.

Step 4

Once they’re done, serve the burgers right away on your favorite buns and enjoy!
