Why This Meal Is A Winner
Helpful Chef Tips
- Use bone-in chicken for more flavor and juiciness.
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving to keep it tender.
Step 1
Chop the onions and chillies, then add them to a pan with some water. Bring it to a boil, cover, and let it cook for about 10-12 minutes until everything is nice and soft. Once done, blend it into a smooth paste and set aside.
Step 2
Heat some oil in a pan, then add the chicken pieces. Fry them until they turn golden brown, sprinkle with salt, and give it a good mix. When cooked, take the chicken out and set it aside.
Step 3
In the same pan with the leftover oil, add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute until fragrant. Then, add the onion and chilli paste you made earlier and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
Step 4
While that’s cooking, mix yogurt with cumin powder, pepper, coriander powder, and salt in a bowl until well combined.
Step 5
Pour the spiced yogurt into the pan with the chicken and mix everything together. Let it cook on medium heat until the oil starts to separate from the sauce.
Step 6
Finally, toss in some extra chillies, onion rings, garam masala, and fresh coriander leaves. Give it a good stir and it’s ready to serve!
